FSBO Appraisal FAQs

Do I need an appraisal if I'm selling my home by owner?

If your buyer is using a mortgage, their lender will usually order an appraisal to confirm the home's value before approving the loan. Cash buyers typically don't need one. Either way, the appraisal is ordered by the buyer's side, not by you as the seller.
